I Like To Believe They Went Away Happier Than When They Arrived

The Parenting Resource Fair that featured my books yesterday was a lot of fun for me. My wife Heidi helped me talk with hundreds of young children and their parents.

It was easy to tell the readers and those who are often read to by their parents from those who hadn’t yet been bitten by the bookworm. The former focused on my books, and the others focused on free prizes (such as little finger puppets and writing pads with photos of animals on them) we gave away. Either way, I like to think that most went away from our display at least as happy as they were when they arrived.

Heidi and I also gave away hundreds of Clyde and Friends bookmarks featuring many of the characters from my picture books. They’re bright and colorful so even non-readers happily took them.

With Love,

Russ

  1. Any chance you could send me some bookmarks. I’ve been reading your books in preschool and the teachers have asked about the books. I want to promote your books for you when I can.

That sounds just great! I am sure you both had fun!

  3. Russ, this sounds like fun and I love that Heidi is there with you. I think we are both so lucky to have the support of a loving spouse. It makes everything so much more enjoyable. Hugs to you and Heidi…Clare
