Meet Hoozy Whatzadinkle. Initially it was all one word–a name created by My Beloved Wife for this character–but my editor correctly pointed out that the single word took up too much of each rhyming line, so My Beloved suggested making Hoozy his first name and the rest his last name. I like it, so that is what he’ll be called from now on.
The concept sketch above is one of 11 iterations my illustrator and I we went through to get the character looking just right. Creation of a full-color illustration of Hoozy has now been authorized.
With Love,
Russ

Did you draw him?
Josh McGill created him based on my description of what I wanted the character to look like.
