Coming Soon: The Duck Who Flew Upside Down. Wilbur Mallard is a most unusual duck. He is funny-looking and can only fly upside down. I believe that Wilbur and his friends will delight children and their loved ones. This is my fourth children’s book. It is scheduled for release November 20 in time for the holidays.

Every sentence in your comment made my smile bigger and my morning a brighter, my friend. Thank you! I’d love to hear how the students in your school responded to the book.

Russ It was such a success. I read Clyde and I after I told them you were a friend and showed them your picture. Then I read it to htem and thye loved it. (The teachers too) We were talking abou tit afterwards, and most of them loved the green giraffe the most. Some were vividly talking abou this blue banana. They saw I had more of your books with me and asked me to read another one. The teacher was happy and so I read Rusty Bear. they were all so quiet when they climbed up and almost fell…. you could hear a pin drop. Then the relief when they could help the birds. They loved it and I tried to read it with much drama. 🙂 I left them a card with the giraffe on it to remember me and the story. Unfortunatley I had no more time for the 3rd story, duty called.
Russ, it was a great success and they totally loved it. I totally enjoyed reading and being with them. What fun it was.!
Again such great stories Russ! You are a star! Thank you !

Thank you, Mimi! My next planned book project is likely to be a hardcover compilation of three or four stories involving Clyde the green giraffe. Two have been published as individual books, and I’ve written a rough draft for a third. It is tentatively being called “Clyde and The Hoozawhatzadingle”. My illustrator and I are working on a concept sketch of old Hoozy now.

  2. So exciting! Can you hear the applause? 🙂
