Below is the full-color concept illustration of Kriga and his friends for my children’s story, “Something REALLY, REALLY BIG!”
The post immediately preceding this one explains more about Kriga and shows the black and white concept sketches which led to this full-color illustration.
I proudly hang photos of my human and literary children on the wall I face while working at my desk. It is getting crowded as I’ve just added Kriga to group, and will soon be adding another literary sibling who I plan to mention later.
I’m blessed with a big and growing family of whom I’m quite proud.
One of several things I use concept illustrations for is to help me to keep track of, motivated by, focused on, and inspired to, help all of my literary children grow into book-hood.
I now have five children’s stories that have begun their journey to join their three earlier siblings in becoming books:
“Clyde and The Hoozawhatsadingle” (Yes, Clyde is returning! Readers from age 3 to over 80 have said how much they love him, so I started writing my third Clyde book yesterday and hope to have this rhyming story done in a day or two.)
“The Duck Who Flew Backwards” It is being illustrated and is scheduled to be my fourth book.
“Zach and Backer, the Toad Who Road a Bull”
“Alex and Grumbly Grumpadinkle”
Thank you for being an important part of this adventure!
With Love,
Russ
